M for Montreal was launched in 2006 and found by Montreal's Sebastian Nasra (Vega Musique, Avalanche Productions) and U.K legendary concert programmer Martin Elbourne (The Great Escape, Glastonbury, Jersey Live, ex agent to the Smiths and New Order, found WOMAD with partner Peter Gabriel). M for Montreal's initiative is to invite and cater international music buyers, journalist, taste makers to experience Montreal's music, arts, nightlife and culture.
